Rihanna was encouraged to create Fenty Beauty after experimenting with the best-of-the-best in beauty for years. Still she felt a void in the industry for products that carry out across all skin types and tones. She launched the makeup line to include people from everywhere. She tries to focus on a wide range of traditionally hard-to-match skin tones.

Her vision, above all, is to inspire all the makeup lovers. She says, “Makeup is there for you to have fun with. It should never feel like pressure. It should never feel like a uniform. Feel free to take chances, and take risks, and dare to do something new or different.”

Music, fashion and beauty icon, Robyn Rihanna Fenty was transfixed by her mother’s lipstick since she was a little girl. Back in her childhood in Barbados, the first time she experienced makeup for herself and then never looked back.

Makeup became a way to radiate her ever-changing mood, her weapon of self-expression. She feels it as a power to be fearless, take on beauty and help her become the bold fashion icon she is today.

Inspired by her own choice in makeup accessories, Rihanna launched her critically acclaimed cosmetics company Fenty Beauty in 2017, under LVMH‘s Kendo Brands. The brand included an array of products such as foundations, highlighters, bronzers, blush compacts, lip glosses and blotting sheets and so on. The products were praised for its diverse range for all skin colours.

Rihanna created the brand so that women everywhere could be included, focusing on a wide range of traditionally hard-to-match skin tones. She said she tried to develop formulas that work for all skin types, and pinpoint the universal shades. Rihanna’s makeup brand is trying to redefine the rules with light-as-air formulas in a global lineup of shades designed for all skin.

Even Time magazine featured Fenty Beauty as one of “The 25 Best Inventions of 2017“, citing the breadth of its range.
